Our client is upgrading its licensed retail system from JDA Software Canada Ltd. The current version and configuration will not meet the future business needs. The Senior Business Analyst will provide a senior level of expertise to both the retail system upgrade and projects and initiatives outside the retail system upgrade. You will be reporting to the business systems processes manager and will be accountable to the project manager. This project is scheduled to start in mid-August until June 2015.



Elicit, analyze and document detailed business requirements and obtain sign-off on the Business Requirements Definition documents (“BRD”);

 Assist with the development of user test cases and validate test results;

 Assist with the development of user documentation and training material;

Develop and conduct presentations to stakeholders;

Act as the primary liaison between clients and the project team throughout the project life cycle (i.e. change management, facilitating problem resolution, acceptance testing, implementation);

Ensure the accuracy, integrity and effectiveness of proposed solutions relative to business needs and identifies and defines potential interfaces impacts of solutions recommended on other departments;

Identify and deliver new and changed business processes and procedures by working with business transformation architect(s JDA retail system team, business system analysts,  business analysts (subject matter experts “SMEs” change management team, and other stakeholders as necessary;

Work closely with the change management team and process owners to obtain buy-in/support from program/project team members and stakeholders for the new and changed structure and functions;

Participate and/or facilitate in the effective knowledge transfer to the operational management and staff;

Participate and/or facilitate to ensure the new and changed business processes are implemented and functioning as designed;

If required, develop business cases, cost benefit analysis, and project charters; and

If and as necessary, using best practices, enhance, develop and/or establish business systems analysis processes and methodologies.




A solid understanding and preferable working knowledge and experience with retail supply chain at a senior level including merchandising hierarchies and attributes, replenishment models, merchandise planning and retail pricing strategies; experience in multiple retail environments with large volumes and several product categories.

 Experience related with supply chain projects environment;

Knowledge of the liquor industry; and

Knowledge of a Canadian liquor jurisdiction
